在CHAPTER2,从一个想法到竞赛车辆的最终调试,这其中的每一道工序和设计考虑,我们都苛求细节。我们使用东丽T700和T800碳布混合,并在所有结合的区域使用3K碳布来增加刚性和提升表现。

我们只使用市面上最好的预浸碳布,由日本东丽公司生产,这家公司是复合材料行业的领导者,他们为很多行业提供复合材料,包含运动产品,航天飞机,F1赛车及美洲杯等。

预浸材料

预浸是一道程序,即预先用环氧树脂将碳布浸润,卷成卷轴状备用,使用时将碳布按需求排叠在模具上,通过加热加压使得环氧树脂浸透每一层碳布,并压紧成型,来赋予车架形状和骑乘质量。

单体式吹塑

CHAPTER2 采用的单体式中空成型构造方法是用于生产高端复合材料自行车部件的最佳且最一致的工艺。尽管其他制造商赞颂定制几何结构的优点,然而几乎在所有情况下,这都只能通过管到管结构的非正式工艺来实现,其中管件在斜接、粘接后会被包裹在碳中,从而产生具有较低效率的强度重量比的车架。

高品质产品

我们所有的车架都采用中空式生产方法来严格限制公差,以确保质量和性能。我们对每个车架尺寸的前三角都采用两部分不锈钢蛤壳式模具,确保所有重要的 BB 与前管之间的纤维连续性。然后在现场条件下,通常使用航空级粘合剂将链架和后上叉粘合到前三角上以避免灰尘和污染,从而形成完全一致的车架结构。

专为性能而设计

为提高性能,我们精心构想并设计了该车架的各个方面。CHAPTER2 车架在关键组件(如 BB、叉端、前管、座管和链架)上采用模塑聚氨酯/发泡聚苯乙烯 (PU/EPS) 心轴,从而精确地控制壁厚以满足尺寸、对齐和强度重量比所要求的制造公差。

Aerodynamic Optimisation

Aerodynamics is at the core of CHAPTER2’s performance strategies, with extensive testing at Auckland University’s Wind Tunnel. However, different technologies are employed in different ways to create the desired aerodynamic advantages.

The TERE uses Kamm-tail sections to create a stiff and nimble structure due to the inherent structural qualities of the highly engineered tube sections, delivering a light yet aero frame. However, if out and out aerodynamic performance is what you are searching for, the RERE uses a more conventional yet finely tuned aero profile in specific locations, to slice through the air and have you sipping your flat white at your local cafe long before your buddies arrive.

The CHAPTER2 box is designed to protect not only your frameset, but also the environment. No foam padding has been used and the minimal design uses the least amount of materials possible.

Additionally, we are dedicated to developing all our design and technologies at home, here in New Zealand where there is a wealth of knowledge and technology in composites and aerodynamics. New Zealand is home to yachting’s most advanced technologies as used in the America’s Cup and other race winning crafts. Our HQ in Auckland gives us a unique advantage to tap into this valuable R&D resource.

Each CHAPTER2 frame and component has been designed to exceed international safety standards (EN ISO 4210:2014) because not only do we want you to enjoy the bike in complete safety, but we also want you to feel confident that our frames can withstand the rigors of any ride, race, gravel adventure or a Paris Roubaix sportive.
